Always use your handbrake

Tuesday, November 20th, 2007

A couple of years ago while in the USA I was driven to a restaurant by a friend. When we reached our destination and Darren parked, he didn’t put the handbrake on. I looked with horror as he made to get out of the car and pulled on the handbrake. He gave me a funny look and explained about the “Park” gear on his automatic car. Still, I can’t imagine ever leaving a car and not using the handbrake. Pity this guy at a gas station didn’t do the same .. :)
